Eastwood House

“This house was designed in conjunction with Brooker Builders as a local builder's option for the housing development in Eastwood”

The  house is single storey 4 bedroom home with study and optional 4th bedroom or rumpus area. There are two entertaining areas with a family room adjacent the kitchen and separate sitting room.

The building is a “L” shaped plan oriented around an internal garden courtyard that provides light into the interior of the house and views of the garden and external entertainment area. The single room width plan means that all rooms and corridors benefit from natural light. The interior has polished floorboards and a light and bright palette of colours and clean lines.

The building is designed to be a different option from the standard “box” offered by volume builders. The architectural design sets it apart from the  houses more commonly seen in Eastwood with extensive glazing to the courtyard sides and considered orientation.

The internal courtyard provides privacy and protection from the elements and can be enjoyed from most rooms in the house.
